DJI Flamewheel 450 Quadcopter Lightly Used With Transmitter. Programmed, Calibrated and Ready to Fly.
I’m selling this for a friend who decided that his interest in flying model airplanes far outweighs his interest in quads. I love flying my quad which is just like this one. As you can see there is no camera or camera mount on this but you could easily add whatever equipment you want. I’ve included landing gear which will allow you to do this. If you’ve decided to step up to a real quad this rig will be much easier to orientate and control than the one your’ spouse gave you for Christmas.. The reason for this is two fold: The NAZA-LITE V1 Flight Controller with GPS has a barometric pressure sensor and there is a very bright LED headlight designating the front of the quad. The light is, to me, the essential flying aid. I have linked a Futaba 7C, 2.4GHz fasst Transmitter (more about this fine transmitter below) to a Futaba R617FS 2.4GHz Fasst 7 channel on board receiver. This gives you 3 flight modes that can be switched in flight on the 3 position switch G. ATTITUDE HOLD MODE: (middle position) holds the quad’s altitude and, if the wind is calm will hold position fairly well. You should always use this mode for take-offs. GPS MODE: (closest position to you) Once airborne, I switch to this mode which will hold altitude during flight just as the attitude mode does and also just by centering the right stick will hold it’s position. On a windy day it’s astonishing to watch it self level. Just move the sticks and you’re off flying again. Great fun! FAILSAFE MODE: This is you’re panic switch position ( way from you). If you get into trouble just flip the switch to this position and the quad will rise to a default altitude, then fly a straight line to the spot you took off from, hover there for 15 seconds, then descend slowly and land. The motors will then automatically shut down. The IOC (Intelligent Orientation Control) Home Lock is active and can be turned on and off using Switch E. Be sure you understand how it works before you fly the quad with it on. Push the switch away from you to turn it on, and pull it towards you to turn it off.
The LED headlight makes orientation and flying at a distance a breeze. I Hope you can appreciate this by viewing the pictures. It plugs into the balance plug on your 3s Lipo and draws no appreciable current. The transmitter has been carefully used and is powered by a 2000mAh Nickel-Metal-Hydride battery. You’ll find in the shipping box a field charger that will charge this type of battery along with a charge lead. You will need a DC power source to power it. There is a spare identical battery in the box. The wall charger in the box is for Ni-Cads only. I have wiped all but the quad model and settings from the transmitter which gives you the flexibility of adding other quads, helis or airplanes. The quad has a Dean,s battery connector and will fly for 6 minutes on a fully charged 3s 2200mah Lipo (not included). The quad flies perfectly as is but if you are experienced and want to make adjustments, there is an enclosed patch cord for programming the flight controller by downloading the DJI Assistant Software for NAZA-LITE V1 If you purchase this quad I strongly recommend that you read and study the manual then read and study it again. Because of the the nature of this sport, I will only accept a return under the very strictest of circumstances. Any repairs or troubleshooting down the line should be done by an authorized DJI repair shop. A note on shipping. I will ship this to you with the landing gear detached, the GPS pancake unscrewed from the frame but still plugged in and the propellers removed. All this to minimize possible gorilla damage. I will include detailed instructions for re-affixing these parts. This quad would be especially great for a beginner looking to step up their game or someone like myself whose eyesight isn’t as sharp as it once was.
