    Flys like a dream!

    This is a high quality arf plane. The P40 Warhawk has a fiberglass fuselage and cowl painted in vague colors. The rib wings are covered with Solartex and airbrushed to match the color of the whole aircraft. The wood that makes up both the wings and the fuselage are all laser cut. The high precision of fiberglass and fine painting work make this kit an extremely realistic aircraft. It is a perfect combination between scale looks and excellent flying performance. The kit comes with a full color decal sheet, wheels and a fuel tank. This war bird is a must fly!
    Decals are ready applied and protected by clear coat. The model is thus very durable

    1.) How does it fly on the OS 160?

    FAST as hell! Plenty of speed & power, plus it sounds awesome!





    2.) What fuel do you use?
    Cool Power, 15%, castor synthetic

    3.) I noticed that one of the Mains had been ripped out and repaired.
    No, never put cowlings on, because they have to rotate. I always Maiden one first!! Then put on the shrouds. Thataway you can see what you need to modify & u can work on it. Gear is attached with break away # 6 nylon screws, threaded Attaching points which were reinforced with PLY before installation.


    What ahppened?
    Nothing, it just lands fast, I fly off long, paved runway. One Can’t try to stall it in, it’ll bounce. Have to FLY it in. I have it a little tail heavy so it’ll land slower. I Just use the throttle, flair, add throttle, let it settle..use the Idle down function on Tx





    4.) I see that you do not have the lower cowl in any of the pictures. Why?

    So you can see the motor, We bought 3, built 2, have plenty of spare parts, got an extra cowl & wings, etc. if you want to change anything, i.e., another motor. Think I got a set of rotating Spring Air retracts too. But u don’t need ‘em. Too much trouble, always forget air pump! Just set the mechanicals up right, proper throw or travel, reinforced servo arm (solid circle) etc.

    They are very good flyers, VERY impressive in the air with the 160’s. Flies like a trainer. I have built about 4 P-40’s of all makes & sizes (60 up). I put ST 90’s on the 60 sizes, ST 140’s & OS 160’s on the 90 – 120 sizes. 4 Strokes are OK, but they still don’t give the quick power needed for dog fight type stunts. When you mount 4 strokes upside down, you are asking for trouble! On board glows, 30% fuel, hotter plugs, etc. About all you get for all the trouble is the rumbling sound. I try to keep it simple.
