Item Description:
Flying Models Magazine 1950-1989
Hundreds issues! Contains many great plans, tips and techniques as well as look back at the hobby from years back.
After originally posting this Ad, I did do a complete inventory of which issues I had, as can be seen below. My count was 330 issues. Keep in mind the pricing of this item is fairly low, as I appreciated the fact that these magazines will be expensive to ship (see below for shipping calculation). Note that for some of the early years, magazines came out every two months, and will be indicated for example as (2,3), for February/March. You will also notice that they did this on "odd month" boundaries, so that there was a Dec-Jan issue that included December of one year and January of the next.

Price asked does not include shipping, and is to be paid for by the buyer. Please contact me with your zip code and I will quote, but just so you know shipping charges would be based on actual calculated USPS Parcel Post or Media rates, without any additional charges. Keep in mind magazines are not light!
I would prefer pickup from Englishtown, NJ (07726) or I would be willing to meet the buyer somewhere for round trip gas and tolls agreed to and paid for in advance.
I've had several requests for shipping quotes. Just so I don't have to do all the calculations prior to you making an offer, here are some guidelines that you can use to do the calculations yourselves.
This item will ship as two packages, one weighing 68 lbs, the other weighing 49 pounds. Magazines are heavy! The packages will ship from zip 07726 to you. For purposes of the USPS calculator, use a package dimension of 30 x 13 x 11 inches for both. This is the size of the larger package, but for the two quotes I've made for members already, changing the dimensions of the smaller package doesn't change the cost ... it's the weight that counts here! Note that depending on your location, the Parcel Post rate may be less than the media rate, so be sure to check both!
I didn't try to even the weights out between the two packages to see if that improved the cost, it might. Keep in mind that whatever price we agree to for shipping, I will refund any overage once the package actually ships as it is not parctical for me to make a separate trip to the PO just to get a more accurate price quote :)
Thanks for looking!
