Item Description:

This is a Hanger 9 P-51D Mustang. It flys great and has never been crashed. It has about 20 or so flights on it since purchased. It was in storage for about 5 years up until June of 2011 when I flew it last. The plane has a 91 Saito GK four stroke for power and airtronics RD6000 6 channel FM radio and servos for guidance. It has mechanical retracts and comes with a PVC stand that I built for it so its easily transported. I built this plane when it first was offered about 10 years ago. It has some wear on it but overall it is a nice plane. This plane is fast and I no longer feel comfortable flying it due to my fading flying skills. I have some nice video of this plane flying. The plane cost me over $800 in kit form and is a super bargain. It weighs about 10lbs and has a 65" wingspan. I am very interested in your P-51
I have loved this plane for years and have a Die-Cast model on my desk I am an old guy age 75 and live in Granger IN / South Bend IN
I understand this is ready to fly correct? This is a project for me and my Grandson. I would like to talk with you to get a feel on what you have as I am new to this hobby. Does this vintage of the hanger 9 ARF have flap capabilities? It doesn’t look like flaps are installed is that correct?
Is the wing removable? I got burned one time for not asking. After a 6 hour drive found out the guy had glued wings on, made getting home a pain.
Are you in a hurry to get plane out of your way? I am about 500 miles from you so it could be a couple of weeks before I could pick it up. All depends on the weather this time of year.
