Item Description:
Super Kraft P-51. This is a 27.5 ws balsa model, 12.0oz AUW. Powered by DonsRC Wicked Jr 3200kV motor, 4.1x4.1 apc prop, Pentium 30a esc, hs-55 aileron servo, Esky 9gr servos for tail, Flightpower Evo 20 800mAh 3s (a bit soft). AR500 can be included for $25 more. I built this one for speed, but then never invested in a good new high C battery for it. DonsRC says this motor/prop combo is good for 93mph pitch speed, 12oz thrust @ 14 amps.
When I built it, I made the upper canopy with a magnetic latch, so battery access is a breeze. Lower wing is removeable. As I was concerned with cooling, I never fitted a full size spinner to it, or otherwise finished the nose. The addition of a side or chin scoop would most likely allow for it, but alas I moved on to other projects.
