This is a full range, FM dual conversion mini receiver that includes a programable failsafe, a battery monitor and a glitch counter. 

Many short glitches happen during a normal flight, but they happen so fast you usually don't notice them.  You need to know about them, though, so that you are aware of the amount of interference in your flying environment and the quality of the signal that your transmitter is putting out.  If there are a lot of short glitches, then the chances of a longer, serious glitch are much higher.

There is a button and an LED on the receiver that allows you to setup the functions and to read back your battery voltage and the number of glitches received during a flight. 

The receiver can also be connected to a PC for programming and reporting.  The PC software is included, but I do not have the interface module to connect the receiver to the PC.  The  module is available on the following website for $14 http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=12333 . (You may have to sign in at Hobby King to see that page.) 

The receiver is currently on channel 46 and a channel 46 transmitter crystal is included.  It orignally sold for nearly $100, but you can have this one for $20.
