Item Description:
Yellow Aircraft AT-6 Texan for sale. 101"Wingspan, 72" Long, Approx. weight of 28LB. Eighteen flights. This plane is in beautiful condition; no prop strikes, no belly landings, no hanger rash, no scratches, dents, or dings. I am the original owner of this plane. It has never been sold before. All items from spinner to tail wheel were purchased new for this AT-6. Power is a G-62 with magneto ignition and spring starter. The engine starts easily and runs very, very reliably with never a dead stick landing. This Texan has scale Yellow Aircraft pneumatic main gear retracts and a Y/A tail wheel assembly. Retracts work flawlessly and have never failed. Radio gear consists of a Futaba PCM 1024 R149DP Rx (Ch 31), (1) Futaba digital S9153 servo on the elevator and (1) digital S9153 servo on the rudder. (1) Hitec HS-645MG on each aileron and on each of the three flaps for a total of five HS-645MG servos. (1) Hitec standard servo on throttle and (1) Hitec std. servo on the air valve for retracts adding up to a total of nine servos. Receiver power is provided by two 6.0 volt, Nickel Metal, 2,700Mah batteries with two heavy duty switches.
This plane was built by a pattern/mold maker & builder who worked for many years at BVM Jets. This pro builder has created aircraft that have competed in events such as Top Gun and Scale Masters. The scale color scheme on this AT-6 was flawlessly applied using PPG Shop Line acrylic urethane. And it's as meticulously finished on the inside as it is on the outside. All letters, numbers, stars & bars and nomenclatures are painted onto the plane. There are no decals or dry transfers on this Texan with the exception of the vinyl nose art that is shown on the forward, left side of the fuse. The cowl, fuselage, vertical stab, and center wing section are molded fiberglass. The wings and horizontal stabilizers are foam core with balsa sheeting that is fiberglass covered, then primed and painted. Control surfaces on the tail are built up, covered and painted. The plane has a manually operated sliding canopy. Both Rx switches are discreetly mounted inside the cockpit. The cockpit interior is from Yellow Aircraft. The wings are a plug-in design for ease of transportation and set up at the field. Transmitter and wing bags are not included. Cannot ship. Local pick up in Eufaula, AL. 36027. Or, I will deliver to any location within a 150 mile radius of Eufaula, AL. 36027 at a cost of $0.50 cents per mile, both ways. Or, I can deliver free of charge to the Southeastern US RC show in Perry, GA. on Friday, March 1st.
There are other RC scale aircraft that are offered for much more than my asking price of only $1,950.00 for this great looking plane. But I can assure you that not one of them is constructed and finished to a level of craftsmanship that could exceed the artistry of this Yellow Aircraft AT-6 Texan.
