We have a brand new, easy to use RCU Marketplace
Come take a look. On April 5, 2018, once all existing listings have expired, the old marketplace will close for good. In the meantime, feel free to browse what is for sale here, but please make any new for-sale or trade listing in the new Marketplace!
This particular aircraft is a built from kit, a Tower Hobbies Fun 51 airplane done up in a highly visible, orange pseudo-military scheme. Overall, I would rate the overall condition of the plane a "7-8 out of ten".
The landing gear is a bit on the tall side, perfect for those longer grass fields and "high alpha", slow landings. The engine, an O.S. 46 LA runs well. BTW, don't be fooled into thinking this engine is on the small side, it flies this plane with authority! The dry weight of this plane is just over 4 lbs.
The plane currently has what I remember to be a JR R600 receiver on channel 49, driving 5 "premium" servos off a 2500 MaH NiMH battery. The battery was recently discharge tested to over 2400 MaH (see photos). This plane originally came with a Futaba RD127 receiver on channel 38 which can be substituted back in, if requested. I also have other receiver crystals for the JR Rx that I would be willing to substitute at no charge.
I am willing to "part out" this plane, but quite frankly for all the effort it would take, I can't imagine any dollar savings would be worth it to install your own equipment.
This plane is available for inspection/ground tests at my home and for demo/flight tests at my home flying field in Colts Neck N.J.
If more detailed photos are desired, or if you have any questions, please post your request here or PM me and I will try to get back to you within 24-48 hours.
