This combination works and the ProLinks are the best struts available for the Lightnings (Classic or Ultra). They won't break like the C-ARF trailing link struts either. These that I am selling have no damage history on them and it shows.
ProLink struts with these BVM's Mig 15, 4 inch Wheels and BVM Brake System is the only way to go! Both are nicely engineered with T6 aluminum (very nicely machined, very strong). Great combination!
Now listen: I've put about 75 flights on this pair showing. The rubber still has another 50-100 take-offs and landing on them, but the treads are worn off. I'm also including a brand new, never used pair of BVM tires, so you can swap them out anytime you wish. No need to install the BVM Rim Screws either (they don't need them).
You'll pay little more than half the price I paid for these parts and they look near as good as new.
The bottom link of each strut has the anti-rotation pin already installed to match the BVM Brake Hub, so all of that is done for you already.
If you are already using ProLink Retracts, these ProLink struts will fit your trunions. If you are UPGRADING your original Behotec retracts, you will want to purchase a pair of trunion upgrades for 1/2 ProLink struts from Dreamworks for $62 (the pair). Well worth it!
This alone is a huge improvement over the sorry 8mm pin affair that bend and/or snap and break so easily. You could hog out the original Behotec Trunions to accept the 1/2 inch strut, but for $62, I wouldn't mess with the machining hassle, plus the new trunions are harder T6 material.
