Notes

IMAA-legal 84.5" wingspan! "Expertly Covered in Top Flite® MonoKote®" Known for its speed and high-altitude maneuverability, the P-51D Mustang was one of WWII's finest fighters. Top Flite's giant-scale replica captures the size, power and performance of this American favorite * with Almost-Ready-to-Fly construction that will have anxious pilots flying sorties at the field in as little as 25-30 hours. And the detail and quality touches have to be seen to be believed! Besides providing easier visibility during flight, the large dimensions also make for effortless installation of on-board gear inside the generously sized radio compartment. · Among the quality touches is a realistic ABS cockpit that adds scale detail without a lot of work. · The MonoKote trim scheme re-creates the "Big Beautiful Doll" flown by Col. John D. Landers. Prebuilt, MonoKote-covered main sections feature built-up, fully sheeted wood construction, while the cowl and wing fillets are made of prepainted fiberglass. When equipped with a US Engines* 41cc gasoline engine, Top Flite's Giant Scale P-51D Mustang ARF has the power to execute dramatic dogfight maneuvers. Fixed, heavy-duty wire landing gear is included, but this warbird has been designed to also accommodate optional Robart retracts with functional landing gear doors for added authenticity.
