Default Build Thread; Cen MG16 Monster truck 1:16

Hey guys! I'm going to be constantly doing more and more to my little Cen MG16, buying random things I think will fit and test fitting, and playing around with it, so far I've got;
1) 2.8" Traxxas Tires.
2) Fuel Filter
3) Traxxas Stampede exhaust manifold, and muffler.
4) Traxxas heat-shielding for the fuel lines
5) Shock rebuilt with Team Omega RS4 adjustable oil, (30% stiffer)
6) Traxxas .15 (2.5cc) cylinder head.

To come;
Adjustable coilovers, 17mm hex's, HPI street wheels (to have some donut fun ).

Feel free to leave suggestions on what I should do, what I shouldn't do, and even crazy ideas!

I'm also looking for a 1:16 body; Specifically a Subaru, doesn't matter what kind it is, Forester, Baja, Legacy, Impreza, STI, Wrx.

Here are the pictures as well ---

Bump:
Finished RWD conversion- Removed Left and Right dogbones, and the center dogbone as well, unfortunately I can't do anything about the front torque splitter, or the center diff. yet, because the bumper and shock tower mounts directly to the torque splitter, and the center diff. is spinning freely, I'm affraid I may melt my transmission.

I'm also bumperless for a bit, (I crashed )

Last but not least, I tried out some DIY slide tires, I put some ductape on my current tires and enjoyed the sliding, I think I may be interested in finding some drift tires. I've been looking into 3" ABS couplers that will slide over the wheel.

Bump:
Guess what!?
That's right I put a Traxxas TRX2.5 in my little Cen
I'll keep you guys updated as for what else I decided to do, but for now I think this is going to be it for a couple weeks!

Next major steps are figuring out a way to bend the direct line for brakes, fixing the carburetor, and getting a real exhaust

Thanks Guff, unfortunately I don't have a LHS. So I have to order parts online and wait for them to ship; However, only thing I'm waiting on now is a HSN assembly, flywheel, and air filter. And it'll be installed, I'm going to have to cut a little bit to fit it, and figure out how to reroute the breaks or bend the line. I was thinking about bending it into a square around the carb, then JB welding the bends to make sure it doesn't bend like a spring or snap. I don't know, I'll tell Ya when I get everything!

OK, Problems problems and more problems, The crankshaft is too short, and the clutch bell doesn't fit the spur gear; However, upon doing research I found that the Traxxas Multi-Shaft will extend the clutch bell by a few more millameters. I'm gonna order one and HOPE for the best.

After, rebuilding my stock NX15-L I found also that the piston and piston ring from the TRX 2.5 fit in it. If the TRX 2.5 doesn't work out, guess whos gonna be trying out a Frenkenbuild! ;-)
This guy!!!

2.5 was a bit too big for the truck, but I managed, Had to mangle some of the crossmember that holds the rear differential in place, managed to fabricate a custom plate that goes over the 2.5's carb. Played with it for a bit, got bored of it, installed new suspension, some aluminum hop ups, and cleaned her up real nice, she is now a shelf queen, while I'm working on my new project;
Thanks for following my thread for so long!
Stay tuned for my Redcat Racing Volcano S30 build thread, purchased it two weeks ago in running condition with the hop up kit for $60!!
