I took my Xray M18 out today for a spin on concrete, asphalt, ozite, and on an RCP Track. The bottom line is I had fun drifting on the ozite, but I couldn't get on it anywhere since the tires would swell and catch on the lexan body. I checked three LHS and only one of them had tires, but no foams. The salesperson I spoke to at one of the LHS races HPI Micro RS4s and even complained about the tire situation at the store he works at which had "some" tires. Consequently, I plan to wait until Hobby Visions and check out the stock. If I don't end up with a helicopter or tires, I'll place an order for tires along with a bunch of other items.

Just think you could be the first to start one. If you ever purchase the "Megatech" nitro dragster for around $399.00, let me know how it runs.

I've seen a couple of those in one of the LHS that closed down. The owner said that someone gave them to him for display. That also means, I never got to see them run. I just don't like the idea of have to go chase after a car after it runs down the strip. Perhaps, in pairs someone else could drive it back to the first driver if the original driver can't baby it back to the start line.

They had to go chase because of the way they set it up.
I will not be using a micro switch. I am thinking of trying it for my speed car project. It has steering and I will be using a real ESC instead of a micro switch.

By then your camera man should also have more practice, so "video" time should be quick.
