Default Motor recommendation for Mini-T?

I have a Tower Hobbies order to place, and I want to pick up a new motor for a relative's Mini-T. Don't want brushless; rebuildable would be a plus. Usage would be indoor "bashing" - or outdoors on mild surfaces. Better torque vs. ultimate top speed is desired.
Tower offers the following that I found:

Team Orion Baja Micro
Epic Micro "Fast"
Epic Micro "Faster"
Peak Performance Raider
Trinity Termination
Trinity Mass Termination
Trinity Monster Termination
Trinity Micro Monster
Trinity Micro Monster "Wild"
(any others I missed that would fit a Mini-T?)

I've searched through this forum, but haven't seen any solid info. on motor comparisons/recommendations.

What are your recommendations of any of these specific listed motors? Also let me know if some require new motor plates, or modifications to get them installed, or if any require custom pinion gears.

Note: I could buy elsewhere, but would like to stick with Tower for this order.

Thanks in advance!

Well i would say .................stay away from the Peak Raider..........

So now im using the K3.......and just runing it in the house it seems to have more power but not as much braking.

Hope that helps a bit

Oooo... ouch. Well, strike 1 for the Raider.
Anyone else?

P.S. Thanks for the link to the K3 - but again, I'd like to stick with one of the Tower offerings this time around.

Speed 300's are pretty fast and really cheap too. Its a mod motor but not messed with. they run about 15 bucks or so.

The Graupner 300 is a good motor but the K3 is faster and has more torque as well. I have both. The K3 and the Graupner 300. The Graupner is cheaper priced.

This happened after a jump that was about 400mm in the air and landed on all fours........

The motor...........i had modified with a flat spot on the shaft to allow the pinion grub screw to sit on and stop it coming loose.............it might have made a weak part on the shaft but i dont think it should have...........so im not sure.

Trying to find someone from Peak to see if this can be fixed because it was a good strong motor that would hold its performance for a good 30min race.

Dude says he prefers a rebuildable. Get that termination motor.

Some things I've read state that the Termination motors require an aftermarket speed control. True?

I'm leaning towards the Trinity Micro Monster Machine. Will the stock speed control handle this motor?

Well, lets clear up the whole Mini Monster thing. There are three winds, the Termination (33 turns) the Mass Termination (20 turns) and the Monster Termination (19 turns). The only one that requires an aftermarket speed control is the 19t Monster Termination. For your situation, I would acquire the............ Mass Termination. Its rebuildable, has adjustable timing, etc.

I would just go for the K3 with a GP1100 7.2v battery pack.

With a K3, are there any other things that need to be done. Or can i keep the stock pinion on it???

Not allways Study.........

On mine ATM i have the Yellow pinion set from 3racing (part No MT-027) and these have held through 9 battery packs (and they were the X42s) so they are better than the stock ones.

On my K3 the stock pinion would just slip off.
