My first motor fried, so i bought an aftermarket. Then, my ESC died, so i sold my battery.

I need a new motor, new battery, new ESC and new radio. All i have left is the stock transmitter with no crystals.

I dont want to spend much (Who does?!) and i like Trinity stuff. So should I get another 6 cell battery, a decent motor, and risk frying another stock ESC? Any advice would be appriciated.

try a novak spy, as esc with a baja motor, stock reciever and controller with a battery that your esc and motor can handle

Ok, so use the stock ESC/Rx as my Rx, and use an aftermarket ESC? How is that supposed to work?

I dont think he knows the mini-t has combo units.You may want to get a brushless system as it will be as much as the brushed ESC and motor. Then just get a 27MHZ AM reciever and some crystals. You will also need a new servo.

Yikes, that adds up pretty quickly. Some kid wanted to buy my chassis for 30 bucks, i was thinking about selling it to him and just buying a brand new RTR and then getting my battery and motor. I've already got a nice Duratrax Piranha Digital peak charger, it is awesome.

I always had two problems with it though. My motor would always get pretty hot, and then eventually my ESC stopped working, but i dont remember it getting hot.

Anyone else had these problems?
