I doubt I'll be the first, but I do plan on picking one up first chance I get. But that's looking like it will be a good month or so before I drop any amount of cash more than for a replacement part here and there... But the alum. kit and the brushless kit are both on my list.

I pretty much need a whole rear diff now! I was just driving around on carpet and all the sudden only the front wheels were turning... After taking it apart it turns out on the left side the allen screw that you tighten or loosen to adjust the slippage actually snapped! I have no idea what to do I don't have any clue where i could order a new screw or a new rear diff. please help me!

Okay looks like i can order a complete rc18t diff or i can get a rebuild kit. Will the complete diff drop right in with little or no mods?

I figured out how to make the rc18t dogbones fit in the differential (pins are to big). the pins on the rc18's are too long, simply shave them down the stock pin length with a dremel, put the spring in the diff, and re-assemble it. for somereason it wont steer if you put it in the front so you can only do it in the back[]

I haven't encountered RC18 dogbones which have pins are too long yet...but I only have GPM and AE bones... Only found the bones themselves to be too short, which is remedied easily by using a small spring of some sort. Some people use fuel tubing, I used a spring from a mechanical pen...

F150-Nick - RC18 diffs drop right in. I actually did darn near the same thing to mine. But mine was because I was intentionally spinning my tires on carpet! (I taped up the tires to make them 'slicks'...) I'm now midway through swapping out to an MIP Superdiff...I lost a bearing though so I've gotta order up a rebuild kit now. :/ The Superdiffs are going to be a nice upgrade, but I'm going to have to use my dremel to make it fit in the housing. But "stock" RC18 diffs drop right in according to many people here and on other forums.

the pp diff is better imo when you put the rc18 spring in it, i ruined two rc18 diffs, 1 is totaled 1 just needs tightened. I am using a rc18 screw in the pp diff and the the rc18 input gear and my whole drivetrain is perfect now, i am also running the stock pp diff up front

Well I measured the pp dog bones and they are 2.063
and the ones for the rc18t (based on the tower hobbies site) are 1.930

The difference is small but im still not sure if the dogbones will work or not...

They work, just need to drop a spring into the diff carrier's output. Just crack open a mechanical pen or pencil and cut the spring to length...only need about 3-4mm of spring (weaker springs may need to be longer, but I would guess you'd never need more than maybe 6mm).
