What mini for christmas?
chritmas will be here before you know it and my parents were asking me what i wanted. i know i want to get my 2nd rc so i want an electric mini because they are cheap and still fun. i have narrowed my choices to either a mini-t or a micro-t. it will be driven in my house, room, driveway, and maybe the lhs. i like those two bc i trust losi and they are nice and...not expensive i was also thinking inferno mini, but not likely, so which one would be better to my liking. and i do have experience in the hobby, but never with electric but i learn fast

RE: What mini for christmas?
I had a Mini-LST and you need way to much upgrades to make it handle stock power I would have had to get Steel diffs $50, CVD's $50, Alloy shocks $20, 2 Mini servos $80. With the Vendetta ST you only need to get ball diffs and CVD's if your going to use a HIGH powered BL system and you can use a 1/10 servo.

That's why I said Mini-LST 2. I know the Mini LST 1 was a turd from experience but the 2 is good.

Things are going to change by christmas, wait and see then.

Right now, here are my votes:
If you just want a rtr and don't plan on upgrading it: RC18B just because it has the best electronics.
If you want to kit or rtr and plan to upgrade stuff: M18T or Vendetta buggy or ST.

I second that. Christmas is always a big season for new stuff. Ask your parents if its cool to wait until the beginning of December. Then decide on a mini.

Mini-t and micro-t are are apples to oranges... its like asking if you should get a Tires or a new body.... That is, it really depends on what you want.... you said "will be driven in my house, room, driveway, and maybe the lhs." By LHS do you mean they have a track? In your house. room, and driveway the micro t will be more fun, but you do need to get the losi threaded axles so you can remove all the hair it picks up more easily. on a track of course a mini will be more fun, and its also pretty fun indoors, but you have to be more careful than with the micro-t, and the mini-t being 2wd limits the fun since it will get stuck easier. I would suggest broadening your choices to include some 4WD mini monsters. Others have suggested the mini LST2. Also look at the mini quake. Ive had mine for a month and a half and haven't broke anything despite much bashing, failed jumps, cartwheels, accidental high speed meetings with walls and doorways indoors, etc... its a tough little truck and the stress tech warranty is great for if it does break. Also buggys vs monsters... monsters can easily go on grass, while buggies have trouble due to low ground clearance...
Really what mini's are about is fun, and 4WD is 2X the fun of 2WD...

I second the Mini Quake. I remember RC Car Action did a build up of one with a Mamba system and said it hauled. Thats what I'm planning on getting soon.

RE: What mini for christmas?
If you're thinking about a mini quake, wait until the new XTM Rage comes out. It should be more durable and tunable than a mini quake. Its based off the basic MQ design, but with lots of key upgrades, and a cooler body.
