Without a servo saver? I tried that, but it ended in broken gears.

I like the JR241MG. The only downfall to this servo is that it's very slow. It works great, especially if you're just going to bash.

how did you break metal gears in a mini? use the rc18t saver for it, but it requiers some modifications to fit

I can happen. I ended up just using it in the rc18. I didn't want to mod anything to much, it would have needed it.

You'll have to get the Airtronics Servo Saver, but it's worth it. I've ran one for almost 2 years. Just pay attention to the servo mounting posts (blue) that come with it. They are shaved on one side to allow the servo to sit back just enough for clearance from the steering assembly. Shaved side faces forward.

didn'yt know they'd been discontinued, seems odd
but just go with the hs65mg with a rc18 (ht) servo saver
fits perfect with slight hobbyknife trimming

Heck I raced mine for 3 years on and off road tracks and run 65mg's in all my mini's with only 2 sets of stripped gears in bad wrecks. Not bad considering what it saw for those 3 years of racing.

not bad, unless you consider NO stripped gears in 3 seasons of racing
