Default Tamiya TamTech Gear

Hi, I am thinking of getting the Tamiya TamTech Gear RTR cars and would like to know if they are 1/18 scale like the TeamXray cars?

They're 1/16 scale, which is pretty close.

All of the on-road tam-techs are 1/12 except the Ferrari GTO kit. The Buggy champ is also 1/12.

if you chop the back bumper off, the offroad ones will just squeeze into a 1/18th scale box

No, they're 1/16. Tower hobbies said that the buggy champ is 1/12, but Tamiya USA says 1/16. 1/16 makes sense, because the gb02 is just a modified gb01.
So (according to Tamiya) all of the offroads are 1/16 and all of the onroads are 1/12. Sorry for the confusion.

Dang that's clean! Tamtechs seem so overlooked and underrated. Hopped-up tamtechs make excellend durable drivers or shelf queens! I like to run mine hard!

What 1/1oth tires work best for dirt? I was think a set of tamiya rally tires. I have already tried the HPI rally tires and with a Tekin 5.4K brushless and the rear diff tight, it just spins out when I get on it just a bit. Lossen the diff causes it to spin whe i hit it hard. So I think I need more grip? Something has to change. Huals on the street. Can lift the tires up and ride wheelies sometimes thats with a 16T pinion and a 63T spur.
