Default Will the Trany Handle it?

Hey guys i am considering one of the RC cars in the RC18 series and I wanted to know if the stock trany will handle a mamba micro pro esc motor combo. I will run the stock battery for a while until i can get a 2 or 3s lipo. Thank you for any input

About to do the same thing. Start out with a lower pinion and see how hot it gets and then go up 1 or 2 teeth at a time. 11-12 is a good start. And a heat sink for the motor is nice. The tranny should be fine.
