Oh, so how is this Xray out of the box? Pretty solid? I assume I'll need a charger as well, any suggestions?

I would put my MLST2 up against any other mini on the market .

The X Ray is good , but the suspension and drive train are lacking IMO , espically if you want too go B/L with it . The pro version is better but cost alot .

Parts availability might be a problem depending on you LHS , having too order everything when you break can be a pain .

None of my LHS's carry Xray stuff so I guess I'll be going with the LST2

thats a good choice. i heard the lhs owner tell somebody not to buy an xray m18t. (which is almostthe same as the mt) becouse the arms break to much and overtime you spend to much on them

Yea, I heard the diffs suck on the LST's though. Will they be okay with the stock motors for a while?

The diffs suck on the Mini LST and Raminator/Rammunition because they're plastic, they're fine on the Mini LST2 and Mini Monster Baja though because they've got a metal ring and pinion gear. The servo's suck on all of them but they'll last you a while and eventually you can upgrade to some JR or Hitec servos, or the single servo conversion.

Get The Exotek LXT single servo conversion kit. You can use just about any standard servo. I use the futaba low profile S9551 but it is not mandatory.

I'm not sure which Hitec's fit, I've just seen a lot of people on the forum who said they used them. I used JR SM22's and they work great.
