The Revo looks awesome. If they've finally put out a mini that can handle brushless stock then I tip my hat to them.

However the recent release of an unnamed large brushless truck has been swamped by reports of failed drivetrains. Traxxas also called the E-revo brushless ready, which was slightly optimistic.

so, do you guys think it is a 1/16 vxl or 540 sized. if it is 540 sized then that means they made a waterproof brushless Esc, should be a big hit.

The E REVO will take 6s brushless power no problem , but I think some people are locking the slipper clutch all the way and this is causing the drive line failures .
Mine has been flawless since I put the MMM system in it . Havent got my 3s LiPo's yet , but they are ordered !

All things that can be upgraded. If your expecting a truck that comes out of the box bulletproof....you might as well hang up the gear and wait for the next lifetime. This is an unreal expectation. No other r/c in the history of r/c's has came this way with excpetion of a few high end racers. If it was they way you wanted it, chances are you wouldn't like the price. Since this is reality, there is a good chance all the things you addressed will be addresses by aftermarket support. Metal diff cups, metal drive shafts, FOC, etc....will soon be available I am sure.

I have a mini lst2 as of know. I am going to sell it. I have had it for a little under five months. I like it but then again i don't want it. The money i get from it is going towards the mini e-revo .

Yes, but Traxxas are releasing a truck that has to be warrentied in the real world. The product you sell has to be fit for purpose. You can't release something you know is going to total itself in a short amount of time, just by being driven normally. All I'm gonna say is i reckon the reason the E-revo BL is so long in coming is because they are desperately trying to rework the drivetrain quickly and cheaply.

Isnt that true for all rtr. The mini-t in particular has everyone complaining about motors, servos, broken chassis and all with very light use. Like Mr. M said thats where the aftermarket comes in.

I still think I'm going to get a 1/16 e-revo....I really don't have the space for a larger one but, want something larger then my M18MT. I think the 1/16 might just fit the bill.

I really wanted a Kyosho twin force kit. The Spirit with the carbon fibre chassis plates... Oh Kyosho, where have you gone.
