I've been hearing about a new 1/10 called the RX4 but its not on their website. I don't know if its a good rumour or not.<div>That is a slick looking wheelie bar. I'm going with road rage on 2.8s when the rims come in.</div>
Hmm. ThunderbirdJunkie hasn't heard such a thing.

However, if this is a more robust version of the Tekin RS/RS Pro that can run the new Pro4 4 pole motors, you'll not have to worry about giving up power, because it's there in spades with the Pro4.

FYI, The extra set of hex's in the parts bag lets you use Traxxas rims like the 2.8'' 30 series I run on my Storm. The extra hex's even widen the stance a little.

Hey Red,

How did the 30 series work out?

I am thinking about it...but worried about the weight....

Thank you for the heads up. I just ordered the combo with the skid plate and t-bone (whatever that is).

Never ran them, Just wanted to try them on. I can tell you that they are the same overall size as 2.2's and make my Firestorm handle allot better then stock 2.2's.

You think they weigh about the same? Love the look...

A bit too critical. They love the stampede, though.

That review was unwatchable.

Rob, note that there's an MMP sitting behind the radio box but in front of the stock ESC (who are these hacks?)

I realized that and edited my post.  It was pretty painful.  They seem kind of dumb, though.

There are some truths there though...

Shim the diffs, Load the diffs with some thicker fluid, Upgrade the Steering servo, Install Metal Servo Arm, De-Tune the ESC....

These are all things they mentioned....and these are all things that have been mentioned as 'fixes' in this thread.

UnWatchable....Yes Useful...Well...Sorta.

I love this truck....It's size...Capabilities... She just needs a little freshening up to be the perfect portable bash-hound.

I wonder what his issues with HPI is...... and obiviously he doen't visit to many forums or he would have figured out not to run it on 3s...

You really can't compare the XS to a Stampede, they are really two different trucks.

Exactly. One is good...the other is a Traxxas piece of crap[&:]

The guy on the left rambles on a bit and makes a few strange comparisons but the guy on the right seems to know what he is talking about and raises a few good points. I liked their honesty but did think they were a little bit over critical.

In my personal opinion there is no 1/10 truck or smaller than can take a beating like my Savage XS's can and keep on going..

Typical RTR review: blah blah blah X truck, crappy tires, electronics and no fluids in diff....blah blah blah.. Every truck takes customizing and tweaking to get them right.

LOL.. yep.. but I solved that issue until HPI replaces the receivers.. I put a hole in the receiver box and ran the antenna out the hole for better reception.

ThunderbirdJunkie also solved that problem with his Futaba FASST gear[&:]:)

Sold the Tx/Rx to a kid for $20.

It's funny that this review came up. Sold my Flux XS today and am waiting on my Pede 4x4 to arrive. My son and I had two of the older XL-5s and upgraded them to brushless. They were unbreakable. We put them through hell and they kept on ticking. I plan on running the Pede in shallow rocky streams and stuff like that. Can't wait to get it.
Nothing against the Flux XS, I just wanted something a little bigger and with more ground clearance. Not worried at all about the tipping over thing.

Just a friendly suggestion. Try being a little less defensive and a little more open minded.

ThunderbirdJunkie has experience with the Stampede 4x4 and it's just like every other Traxxas car he's had. The XS is vastly superior.

Hopefully you enjoy your Stampede 4x4. It's one of the better Traxxas's, but that's like saying a car is really nice for a Daewoo.

To each his own. Like I said, my son and I had tons of fun with our Pede 2WDs so this 4WD shouldn't dissapoint.
This XS was just too small for me.
