Will it Charge?
 

I've seen chargers where you have to plug the balancer and the battery connector in, and i've seen some where you just plug the balancer in. Im zeroed in on 2 2s lipos, one by duratrax, and one by venom. I have a venom charger picked out as well from towerhobbies. will the duratrax battery plug into the venom charger? obviously the venom will but what about the duratrax? below is what im looking at...

I need some kind of help guys. I dont plan on purchasing a $100 charger due to the fact i dont run my rc's like crazy. will the venom charger charge the duratrax battery. I want to get it all from tower hobbies. or if you could suggest a charger for around $35 from tower.

hobbyking you can get a charger and 2 5200 mah batteries for like $75.00

Usually any charger will charge any batts as long as the specs and connections are correct.

I've looked at hobby king. they do have good prices but ive been with towerhobbies for years. i can get the flux xs, 2s lipo and charger for $310 after free shipping and $50 off.

well it looks like the venom charger i had the link to charges through the balance plug? correct me if im wrong. if thats the case ill get the duratrax one so i dont have to deal with the universal connectors on the venoms. the thing is the charger i have above isn't in stock till january who knows when lol. can anyone recommend the same kind of charger for like $35?

Yes, it does look like it charges thru the balance plug only. It is a terrible (because it is slow) way to charge large packs.

Honestly that looks like the worse possible charger for charging lipos. I would be paranoid of that thing burning my house down. I'm sure there is better options for under $50 that would be worth looking at, but I don't think you'll find them from Towers. <div>

Man that will take like 6 hours to charge those batteries lol. i knew it wasnt supposed to be a great charger cause of the price. how about the below chargers? are these any better? i hate to ask so many questions but im kinda on a budget but i want to get a good charger. and like i said im a member of tower so i can get the wholw package for cheap. i cant really go anymore than $50 on a charger. how about the ones below?

The top link is a lot better (and faster)

The bottom link is hard to tell. It looks the same as the cheap venom.

If you can squeeze $20 then the HK 50 watt charger can be had. If you are locked into tower then perhaps that 200 watt $59 scratch and dent charger is the best deal going right now. You will like 200 watts a lot more than 50. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...0240&search=Go

I'll probably end up getting the $44 venom charger. seems decent. just have to get the deans banana plug adapter for it. thanks for all the help and knowledge guys. i really appreciate it.

Good luck with your charger. That $44 one has to be better than the first one you looked at. At least it has charge leads.

lol thanks. I've got a $15 electrifly charger i got with 3s lipos in a trade. it hasn't failed me yet or had any issues but i do want a better charger. hopefully this is the one.
