Diffrent Chasis on Micro?

Hey,
I just bought a Micro RS4 and did some research about motors and such, I am just trying to figure out why there is diffrent chasis that you can put on this car such as this:

I am lil confused on this and why it should be done. I know CF saves weight but whats with the designs?
