trinity monster problem
i just put a trinity monster in my mini t as a first upgrade. i noticed that the the bit you plug the gear onto is shorter than the stock motor. This causes a problem as when i accelerate the whole car jerks about 4-5 time before it picks up speed. when inspecting it seems that the motor gear is slightely bending as there is no support (pinion)
what should i do |
RE: trinity monster problem
mount your motor correctly, and get a new pinion pack. or get these.

RE: trinity monster problem
will the metal one hold, and is this a common problem with this motor and plastic pinions
|
RE: trinity monster problem
use threadlock and thread the pinion screw in nice and tight.. let sit overnight.. or at least a few hours, and it will never strip off. Your slipper needs to be set correctly when you are running the stock gears.

RE: trinity monster problem
yeah but i want to go brushless soon, so dont want to glue it yet

RE: trinity monster problem
threadlock will not permantly glue it.

RE: trinity monster problem

RE: trinity monster problem
are you still running the aa batt pack through it. i found that the aa's dont have enough power to get it going. with the 7.2v pack it goes pretty well. If it is still slower you probably got a duff motor or as you say the pinion might be slipping or you slipper needs to be tightened?
