hey guys how you doing. i have a rc18mt and just ordered a mini inferno. i am going to build this thing just for speed. i waqs wondering what the best setup would be....its going to be brushless. what would be the fastest engine to put in there with lipo.. my rc18mt has the mamba 8000 in it and it moves.. would like to know the best setup for the mini inferno.

RE: mini inferno

The Mamba and Tekin motors are a bit small for that car and burn out rather easily.

By far the best 2 motors I have tried in this car are the Wraith 7K (7000kv) and the Permax 400/4D (5200kv). The Permax runs much cooler and needs to be geared low to get the speed but it's a beast so it can take it.

I have ordered a JPerkins 9200kv motor but it hasn't arrived yet so cannot comment just yet but from what I ave read it seems it might be even more of a monster. :D

I live in the UK so have no idea if it's available in the US. You could contact www.moormodels.co.uk and ask them to ship it to you if you really want it.

The Wraith is working great in mine, it's easily in the mid 40 MPH range.

I too have experienced the MM 8000 burn up in these cars.
