I need Radio Shack ZipZap Monster Truck Help!

I can not find batteries for these trucks anymore. The NiMH battery in my ZZMT does not hold much of a charge anymore and I don't want to retire it to being a shelf queen.

Does anyone know where I can find a new battery?

GIVEME THE SPECS AND I CAN FIND YOU ONE PROB, where is it, in the truck, or the xmitter, in the truck, it is acutally a "super cap" not a nhmi bat i don't think, that is why they can charge and discharge sooo fast, a nhmi bat would take atleast 1/2 an hour+ to chare up

Is there any way to save all the parameters to a PC prior to changing batteries just in case. I believe there is a super cap on theThe alternative to the super-cap is the ordinary electrolytic capacitor.

14 year's later, the question gets answered. Haha. Batteries aren't going to be proprietary. As long as the voltage is the same and it fits physically in the battery compartment and connector is the same, you're good to go. These days there's lipo power, but careful it's possible your drive train can't handle it.
