Vendetta stock charger with new battery
 

Hi,

Ihave a completely stock vendetta st. Ibought a new 1600mah battery. Can I use the stock charger that came with the kit on the new battery? How long should Icharge it?

A long ass time. Get $20-$30 and go get a ~1 hour peak charger.

Idon't need anything competition ready so nothing expensive for my main usage. Ijust want durability and longevity. This is my sons fun car :P. Iplan on buying more of those mini 1600 duratrax batteries.

Depending on how many more of those batteries you are going to buy, you might save money ordering lipo batteries from hong kong, considering they're only $6 to $8 each. Thing is they always get you on shipping. Hobbycity carries them and inexpensive battery chargers as well. If you want to look for local stuff I don't believe it would matter too much what you chose. Ask the person behind the counter for an inexpensive peak charger for 1/18th size batteries.
Ordering from hong kong:
2x Lipo: $16
1x Lipo charger: $10-$35
Shipping: ~$25 registered air mail (7 to 14 day delivery)

Buying local:
2x DTX battery: ~$40?
1x peak charger: ~$20?

Either way you go it would be about the same but Lipo's are more fun :D
