I only need the plan. The kit for sale is overpriced like the sellers other offerings.

skaliwag,

Just out of curiosity, why do you want plans for an Ace High - to build and fly one?

I had and Ace High back in the 70's. It was very quick and easy to build and easy to learn to fly with. I think it was a fine trainer, but not much else. Flying it was pretty much and up and down affair as I couldn't even get close to catching and holding a thermal with mine.

Panic over with the plan search. My attic holds many spiders and secrets.

Silvaire. For your curiosity ... I need a trainer in my stable. I learned with an Ace High / Medalion .049.
And you are right about Up.. Down. Except on a very hot or windy day.

Stay tuned for a winter project.

Mine is converted to electric, added elevator. Also added wing area with trailing edge stock, as is suggested in instructions.. Thermals just fine. I have the "plan", it has full size frames and sides, the other views are 1/2 scale I think.

I am trying to do the same to mine. What power setup did you use. I have been round and round on which one to get. Can you help?

skaliwag,
It is one plan that I started to "cad-a-fy" and never quite got finished. I have 2 of those kits knocking about.
Super easy to build. I should scan the plan and zip it off to Steve at Outerzone.co.uk.

The side view is 1/2 size. H-Stab is full size. The rest is typical of that era Ace kits.
Tower / Great Pains / Hobbico is now the US distributors of Ace. They can be "difficult" about the names they have control over.

I'll just finish it off with plans showing a NACA 2415 airfoil built up wing.
(Although it's possible to get those foam wing cores on flea bay from "mcclain1717"
for a reasonable $10/pr)

I still have the ACE ones in stock. Getting low though and probably won't be able to restock now Great Pains has the keys.

I sent a scan off to Outerzone, I'll update this post with a link when it's up there.
The plans are 3/4 size, so print at 133%-134% to get full size. (100/75=1.3333).
Dave

And here it is:

Skaliwag:
Yes, I like the gull wing and the vintage wing shape in general.

Hmm, the fuselage looks like a Seamaster.
