Andrew...I'm not just jealous about 53 cents a day, I'm flabbergasted..!

MJD, I think a lot of us have primitive streaks that enjoy wood heat in spite of the effort.

A $15.80 gas bill for November is possible only because of a couple of reasons:

1. I live alone --- well, with a dog, so hot water is used minimally.

2. The house is kept at 55 degrees.

$15.80 a month is nice, but we have a service charge of $21 before we even get any gas.

Yes indeed - a burning woodstove is a fine thing in the winter. Makes the missus happy - stoke up the stove, hand her a book and a cup of tea, then off to the workshop.
