Discombratulator
First Post on RCC... Whoo !
Just had to snag a nice name...
from this: http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...iscombobulator
It is pronounced:
"Dis,com,'brat',ula,tor..."
Like Marvin the Martian says ' Space..Modellaetor '... on BuggsBunny.
This will be Fun.
I'll have to learn how to post pictures here, but somehow, I have learned 'Expo' !
Keeping it simple, is hard.
Hard part, is keeping it simple !
Take care,
Have fun,

And make sure your photos are small enough, like 150-400kB or so. I open the high res photos in Paint, "Resize" to 30% (or whatever % gives you a good file size based on the original), then I save them in a new folder called "small".. that way I keep the originals if wanted. I started by posting a handful of full size photos and got a few "***, resize your photos!" replies.
Whatever you are designing, it has to be big enough that you can fit the name on the wing.
Oh BTW Dave - I've been fiddling with your "engine aiming device" model.. and it looks like it would be easy to fit a 6 oz tank and a Jett .50. Only if I can get the top fin locked tight enough onto the rudder post though.. Maybe I'll silver solder a small tab to the side to better transmit torque. Whaddya think of that idea (the .50)?

Hi MJD,
Thanks for the tips, posting photos will be part of 'the Challenge' for me !
The 'name' of the plane is the hard part ! All the good ones have been used !
Speaking of names...
That 'engine pointing device', I dropped off is called 'theRuntley'.
(A 'Runtley' is an errection so big, you cannot close your eyes, because all the skin is used up...)
Your call on the .50 ! Had CG issues with a .32... CF on the spars, doubt you could fold the wing...
There is a wheel collar holding the top and bottom rudders together. The hole might be covered with a sticker.
Should be able to take it apart, file a notch where the set screw hits, and will be good to go.
Cheers,
Dave'crosscheck'Fallowfield

Tried to change this post topic, but not able to...I'll start another thread...
And use this one to practice posting photos !
If I can get started soon enough,
