Default Oh Crap, threads of prop screw broke off inside TD

I was tightening a Mecoa 049 spinner adapter bolt and the damned thing broke the threaded part in the engine. How do I get this out? (big question, why did they make it so soft)

I stay clear of the silver color soft metals for prop bolts, the soft stuff was made to help
save the engine and let the bolt snap. I always use a bit of oil on the threads to insure
should I snap one it will back out with less fuss. You may use a pointed steel tip and
catch a chance to unscrew it. With a small drill bit and a drill press you can drill a pilot
hole and use a easy out bit to back it out.

Tape it to an orbital sander and leave it running all night.

Left hand drill in a lathe, then an EZ out. Regular drill is ok too. Sometimes you can chase it out with an ice pick too.

I'm only 1/2 way joking, but things do tend to loosen up on account of vibration.
I wouldn't tape working parts [like an assembled engine] to a running sander.
There might be some "science" to the orientation of the part to be loosened to the source of vibration.
Control Line Combat planes that ran for a minute with prop damage could loosen up hardware on the plane like you wouldn't believe.

You can still tap off the prop plate disassemble and get it down to the crank shaft if a sharp steel point wont back it out.
Tampa RC may have already sorted it out since he never came back to the thread.. .
