Ha Ha,
Stupid reason, of course.
Everybody else beat me to the name locker. After about the 10th try I tossed one out there no one in their right mind would have.

MR First initials of my first and middle name, flyer,,,, well flier was always taken I saw Bipe Flyer spelled wrong, and went for it, and 57 my birth year, just something I could remember.

I had no idea that this site would get me hooked and string me along for years.
I have never found a group of folks with the class, hospitality and the intelligence, that happen to be interested in the same crazy stuff I am.

So to summarize, it was a goofy name that I was going to use for a week and then bail on. Because this was going to be a dumb site, with nothing but hard @#$ people on it.

That idea has been shone to be dead wrong, and I have been rubbing shoulders with a bunch of folks that I never believed existed, just too bad most of them are those darn Southerners and Canadians!!!

Which means I can't get to them to go flying !!

NOW WHAT ABOUT "The Prole" That name has to have a story behind it!!!

Heck, if you've got the time for multiple entries, I'd be all for it... I was thinking the same thing...

I was going to do another 'original' design, and a 'standard' scale model. I was thinking the Art Chester Racer, the little one, not the 'Goon'.

Since I've got loads of time this year (from January to April), shouldn't be a problem to do lots of them....

Hey, I resemble that remark!

Wouldn't it be a "happening" to get this whole gang together for a weekend of bullshootin', flyin', eatin' and having just an all-around good time? Yee-haw!

We don't use American spelling up here. See http://www.bartleby.com/68/53/2553.html

These should confuse you... colour, cheque, manoeuvre!

bipe; I would love to do the beercat team scale; but it needs the 074 we might have to change the rules after all...If you send me the stuff I will build it! even got the right colors ultracoat on the shelf! geez, I will have to do multiple entries now... will probably do the seniorita outside the contest, as I need to top the f-104 at least...so my entry will be a doozy when I figure it out.

Yeah, the Beercat would fly on an .061, but it really needs a .074.

The Seniorita is a nice looking plane, but it's not quite in the same class as you F104. Speaking of which, I took a picture of my daughter in the cockpit of an CF-104 in September when we were at the Canadian Museum of Flight. http://www.canadianflight.org

Sorry Bipe, didn't get to the spelling part of the school year (every year) and when I stole your second word, I thought someone had just beat you to the other spelling. I thought what the heck and grabbed it.
If I would have known it was a correct spelling, I would not have had put that part into the explanation.
Now I can wear the name proudly and just lean to spell a few words differently (like I could spell them anyway)

Thanks for the info, and your one of the guys that I would love to see and fly with sometime.

Hi again Bipe Flyer,

I live about four and one half hrs from Reno, but this is big country and we go there often. I did make it to the Reno air races this year, and would meet you anywhere.

I saw some great old air race planes and was thinking about this contest when I was snapping pictures. Check out the ones that showed up this year!!
In keeping with the contest theme, ahhh well you could use these for entrants!!

I wish I could make the S.M.A.L.L. meet, it seems I could put a face to about 10 of the guys here.

Here are the picts.

The Reno air races are really not in Reno, there at Stead airport, which if I remember is about 35 mins. south of Reno, If you can get the tickets in advance, it could save you up to a 2 hour wait in line I have been going every few years since about 1978, but now I live in Wa. St. so I attend the airshows here now, and enjoy the Boeing museum, and the one at Mc Cord airbase, but that got shut down cause there afraid that a terrorist might blow up retired aircraft, That reminds me I better post a guard at the fire hydrant out side my house!!!The neighbors have a guard posted on there dogs turds to, cause they may want to blow those up and create a crappy situtation. Its kind of odd that we go after the oil bearing nations and not Sryia and a few others that are really the strong holds, ops wrong website!!![img][/img]

Got friends and family that live at Stead, they usually have a party for about a week just before and during the Reno Air Races.

They live just off of the third pylon which is just beyond the end of the active runway. We get a close up show during the time trials.

Also when they take off they turn right over the house. The locals seem to know all the tricks, my friend and his young son were selling posters for the school and as a merchant he had special access. Talk about the way to go!!

They also have a RC Reno Air Race at Madera Calif. They take anything that has flown at Reno and model it. They have unlimiteds that use anything they can dream up. This stuff is unbelievable!!! Met people there that I am still friends with.
But that is another story.

Here are some more ideas for planes, these should all be worthy of the contest

Marshall-

Prole - a member of the Proletarian or working class engaged in a constant struggle against the Bourgeoisie or ruling class. Simply said, a prole is a common working man or woman, a laborer who understands the power of his/her labor and is proud of it. It's a Marxist thing.

Bipe Flyer -

I do indeed have a paypal account, it is timothy-at-rrgadowguitars-dot-com (anti-spammer speak). If people want to start with 10 bucks a piece I think that is a good start. If it winds up being more or less than we can adjust it as it happens. I will start a thread and keep it updated as people pay. Also since we have the front of the T's we will need a back side, I'm fine with keeping it as it was last time but I'd also be into changing it. If people have ideas we can talk about it. Also it might be nice to get a colored shirt this time since we don't have to pay so much for screend. Maybe tan, or grey?

I'm gonna start another thread with a list of the people that seems to be interested in it, if I forget anyone please let me know. I just want to get an idea of how many people are gonna be chipping in for shirts.

Yeah, come to think of it, I didn't ever hear back from Soarrich when I sent him his T shirt from the last contest.... I sure hope he is ok....

working class and proud-

Whew, I was hoping it wasn't " I use to be an axe murderer" and I'm now on prole.[:@]
You deep thinkers are always comming up with cool names, well I guess I will just have to keep the one I have!!

Oh yes, count me in for at least two shirts, and I am talking to some guys here about getting into a team thing, so there could be more.

OK, whoever wants to enter the contest should send Prole $10 and then email me with the following information so that I can set up the web site.

RC Universe Name
Real Name
Password that you want to use for the contest site. Make sure this is a new password. Do NOT send me your RC Universe password.

Once I have your information and Prole has confirmed that he has received your entry fee, I'll send you an email to let you know how to get into the site.

Sounds like a plan Bipe-

Thanks a ton for doing the website. I have another thread going where I'll keep track of entry fee but I'll be in contact and I think having web site access only after paying is a good way to regulate it. Hopefully it will motivate people to get it together as well.

Alright, well where I am there are only 4 hours until the start of the contest!!!

at least now I have something exciting to do for new years....

Lets keep the rules simple. Imagine, plan, build, fly and document your 1/2a single or multi engine effort before May 1/04.
