...of mine, Brian Pate, designed this TD .020 powered pylon racer he calls the 'Hot Shot.' His son Mike handled the final construction/covering and test flight duties a few weeks ago.
They are now zeroing in on the final prop and trim/cg setups for the big match race with matchlessaero and his .020 racer. Should be interesting. Boy, are they lucky I don't have time right now to build my .010 racer!

The Challenge is ON!!!!
Pate built his "HotShot" in response to my PintailQ100 pictured below (it is a .020 size version of my Pintail Q500 Quickie design).
Unfortunately, I traded the little blue Pintail for some RC electric components before I even knew the "HotShot" was under construction.
Well my response is the Veloce (Italian for RAPID) I just began construction on it, but the details are- same .020 as the Pintail, but with a smaller, thinner, triple tapered wing, and a rounded fuselage! I will post pics of it when I am done.

OK Jeremy, I hear that the Pate's are perusing the web as we speak looking for this thread. If the internet goes down, don't blame me!
