That plane would be a real challenge to model! The wing is so thin and narrow. Looks like the smart way to go about doing the fuselage would be to vacuuform it.

In previous modeling attempts the mid-engine location has had cooling issues and there is the weight of the driveshaft to contend with. This may be a case where e-power may be aviable alternative. The only manufacturer I know of that worked out these issues was Byron Originals on a large scale version.

A few years ago somebody was selling a BD-10 EDF kit (along with other smallish electrics). I think they are no longer in business.

Don't know if you've seen this, but Cermark has a BD-5 arf out now, intended for E-power: [link=http://www.cermark.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=C&Product_Code=CER-A117&Category_Code=AAA]BD5 ARF[/link]

Oops, didn't realize you were referring to the BD-10 until after I posted...

BB - looks like 2 in the club. I too was thinking BD-5, not BD-10. That's a different ball game.

Like that $220.00 price on the Cermark BD-5.... One could buy a lot of Norvel's and Cox's for that money.
