Not that I'm aware of. If you want max HP from your .074, the state of the art mod is to remove the muffler and either run off of bladder or tap the crankcase for pressure. I also removed the carb and installed a VA needle in the big gaping hole, but the engine was finicky.......the right way would be to make a venturi, then install the NVA. I've seen mid 20s with a 4.75x4.75 prop.

I was in my basement and found my old car engine muffler. I took off the exaust outlet on the stock muffler and i put my car pipe up to it and they are the same diameter. I was wondering if i could use that if i put it on there with a coupler. will there be any fuel draw issues? Speaking of fuel draw, will the .074 draw fuel when the tank is about 4 inches under the engine. im builing an airboat and want to mount the fuel tank in the hull.

Thanks in advance

It might work, rig it up on a test stand and find out.

W.A.S.P.S-Flyer,

The fuel tank 4" below the carb on the .074 chances you won't get any fuel flow unless you have a decent pump. For best fuel draw, the fuel tank needs to be centered on the spray bar. You're better off mounting the tank behind the engine centered on the spray bar.

A picture alone isn't worth much, what does the stock engine baseline at and then what rpm are you getting with the after-muffler?
