SIG has continued to carry the engines on their site, but their site does not indicate if a product is in stock or not. I suspect a phone call will show them still waiting shipment.

$40?!? I don't believe it! Their automated ordering process doesn't indicate any problem with ordering, it promises shipment in 24 to 48 hours.

Someone call and ask. If they do, it would be great.

While Sig touts the advantage of a Norvel engine, and offers them on their web site, I remain a skeptic. If I don't see the availability of the product, that is, if they don't have the shipment at hand then I will continue to assume that Norvel is out of business. It is sad indeed, and at this point we are still at the denial stage. It's exactly what people experience when they lose an immediate family member prematurely due to an auto accident, or something similar.

I honestly wish Norvel was still producing engines, I really do. Then, I could afford to continue with this hobby. However: transportation, rent, food, and utility expenses have severely hemorrhaged my bank account and I am forced to sell out. I can no longer afford to feed and care for a .46 sized behemoth, let alone a .15 sized machine in addition to that. It would be nicer for me if companies would make more products for those with limited resources, but it seems like everybody else wants a Hummer H3 instead.

Sig probably doesn't have them, and I'm starting to believe they never will again. If you order from Sig it'll just go into back order status and stay there untill they "get the product" Sig will not charge you untill it's shipped. I had a .061 piston/liner set on order for about a year and finally just canceled the order. There's a NIB .074 at a local hobby shop I can pick up an ship to one of you all if you really want it. I think it's about $52.00 bucks. I'm already sitting on a couple of them so I don't need it. PM me if your interested.

To quote a line from a Christmes song "Though it's been said many times, many ways" Norvel Is DONE!

DT --

NORVEL fuel has always been a domestic product -- originally, it was blended by Wildcat Fuel out of Nicholasville, KY. When SIG acquired the distribution rights to NORVEL, the fuel line was moved to SIG's fuel supplier. Since SIG is still in the fuel business, their NORVEL branded fuel remains available.

I hate to say it, but I guess it's time to bid a tearful good-bye to Norvel. Barring a miracle, we'll probably never see 'em again.

I called SIG this morning -- they have no small engines, .074, .061 and .049, in stock. NORVEL/Russia says they will be shipping some, but nothing is coming out -- either engines or information.

Isn't our hobby a state supported sport in Russia? It may be that they have quota's to fill there first. Hey, I've got enough little engines to hold me over for the next couple of years, so I can be patient. Don't know if the new 1/2a combat folks and the pylon racers can be that patient.

And how old is that information? They have been saying the same thing for over a year. I think the problem with Sig is that large corporations have to put a positive spin on things, just like the real estate industry's belief that the condo construction industry is still booming. The full truth almost never comes out of the public relations department, or even the news media for that matter. Sig needs to find a new manufacturer for their 1/2A engines, there is no way of getting around it! Why they would try to promote products from a company that is long out of business is way beyond me. Are they going to start buying used Norvels from EBay so they can resell them for a profit?
