hi any suggestions on kits for cox .010 i have plans but im not good cutting parts out so im thinking early r/c kits roaring 20s wee stick or lighting bug what do you guys think

I vote for the Wee Stick since I just built a LA Stick and it's very similar. Don't be intimidated by the plans, though. The parts cut out very quickly on something that small. Otherwise, I'm interested in doing a Lightning Bug myself someday but have no experience with it.

21.5" wingspan. See my latest post from this morning's flights on the LA Stick thread. It's worth the build. I think the Wee Stick is a bit smaller.

JM Glaskraft* makes a handfull of kits for the .010 that fly well. My favorite is the MicroShark, but if your eyes are a little weak or your thumbs not up to playing Space Invaders anymore, you probably want a PeeWee Penetrator for your .010.
*He's a good friend of mine. It would be a shameless plug, but if you guys reeeeeeally want, I'll post the pics again.

Try Steve at www.selecthobbies.com. He carries the Early RC 1/2A line as well as plenty of Cox engine stuff!

All of these are intended for the .010 he also has a Proud Bird that is still in testing. The Microshark/Yellowjacket is way too much airplane for most folks with an .010 in it, I'd recommend getting the PeeWee Penetrator and flying it with an .010. The little airframes are 17 and 19" span, the PWP has a 24.5" span. I think the original Microshark/MicroEstrellita had 69 sq. in. and I'd put the PWP at about 100.
They all fly really well. You definitely want a foam winged version of the .010 planes though. Much easier to build, fly better, and way way faster than the original wings. The new airfoil is an RG14.

The Lightning Bug is cute. The L'il Roughneck is a nice one too.

Which of these is the PeeWee Penetrator? Those are beautiful airplanes! I just love my .010-powered plane and hope to build more in the future if the prices ever come down on the little engines after Christmas. They're going for way too much on *bay right now for me. I'd love to build a high-winger like the Lightning Bug and something sleeker like these you've posted to go with my LA Stick. That way, 3 airplanes will fit up front in the cab of my pickup without having to pack much junk like my larger planes require. It would allow me to do some glow flying on the way to or from work.

The PeeWee Penetrator (the original Penetrator is a 1/2A racer) is the bottom pic. I know it doesn't help you much, but my best place to get 1/2A's cheap is in the swap shop at Toledo, and the other ones in MI/OH/IL. The days of cheap .010's and .020's won't come until we are gone and nobody cares about them anymore. Probably another 20 years, or until glow plugs and fuel are no longer made.
Gabe-his ph. number is in my post. He no longer has a website-his web-fu is weak and it was more trouble having the site than not.
ETA: The bottom pic IS the PeeWee Penetrator, but it has a VA .049 in it because I'm just like that.....[>:]

Thanks for posting the pics of the kits, DD. Toledo is much too far from south Texas to save $$ and $260 on e##y is waaay too much for Cox .010s. I bought mine MUCH cheaper just a few months ago.
