Default best ARF for a magnum xls .15

I've been looking around but can't seem to find any ARF's that require a .15 size engine. I like the GP P-40 but it needs a .25 anyone have any suggestions? I would build a kit but I've never done one yet with exception to a cox cadet( and that didn't come out to well) so I'd rather get an ARF.

Is this the Cox Cadet you are refering to?

If this is something different to what you tried it would convert to a .15 size Gasser quite well.

There lots of stuff out there for electrics which can easily be converted, what kind of flying are you after?

Over at the combat forum there are a couple of popular SSC kits that are great flyers. The BattleAxe is one of them. These planes are engineered for simplicity and would make a good "kit builder's trainer".

I guess it wasn't made by Cox, I found it at tower http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXNM01&P=0 the problems I had building that made me afraid of kits

I'm guessing you have the wrong link,,theres no way you can put a .15 on a wind up rubber band powered model and thats what I get with your link... look up the Herr Extra at tower it was built for an .074 that is no longer available , but many people have put .15's in it and it is a great flyer like that......there is/was a purple and a teal model,,but it seems the purple is gone and not sure of the teal..the xls is a very powerfull engine...Rog

One more suggestion. Here is my little great planes YAK-54 EP having an OS max 0.15CV on it.

Here's a couple of my .15 powered birds. The purple Lil' Extra with the Mag .15 XLS seems to be pretty popular choice with this group, so I joined in. Very good bird, very good engine, & a terrific combo. ................. The Mini Ultra Stick is converted from elect. Even with the conversion, it was/is probably the most easy, quickest building time ARF that I've tackled. Great flying bird, a little on the quick side whem the Conquest .15 is WOT. ............................. George K.

I second the HERR lil extra as a first choice, the second would be a speed 400-480 electric, converted to glow. I too have the GP Yak 54, except mines lekky powered, and something is definately missing when you fly it, noise and the smell of nitro burning. I love nitro
