Default Put your bids in.

I know everyone is waiting for a new 1/2A engine. Who's going to pony up for this one?

Think the last one of those I saw , was an .05 and went for over $1k...a collector, not a runner , I hear...Rog

Rog,

Makes me wonder if the seller is/was an insider with O.S. as he was the seller of the one that went for over $1,000.

LAter,

Tim

I am not so taken by these- If these where readliy available I would still take a norvel anyday.
O.K they look pretty, and they probably have reasonable fits for sport flying- but I doubt it is very powerful. You might find a $40 AP wasp would blow one away- albeit briefly until it wore out...
It is O.S, so it is not going to have a hardchrome liner like the VA, GZ, Profi, Fora or cyclon. You are essentially getting the prissy but slow sister of an older generation norvel.

Too bad OS couldn't make a production run with chromed liners. It would probably sell out.

It will sell well to those who spend more time buying than flying.

Looks like a retro styled homage to Cox. Since it has the same layout as a TeeDee it probably runs like one.

Weren't these made and given as gifts to OS execs and and other VIPs related to the OS empire?

It does look very pretty, but I'm sure after a few runs and burnt on castor stains, it would look like any other 1/2A engine.

That's why I said a production version....less expensive cast parts, proper timing, and so forth.  That thing appears to have all the features I personally have been waiting for in an engine of that size.  The next closest thing are the TT07 and the Toki 05 (I missed out on the VA MkII, durn it).

DT,

OS made just what you are saying with the 1960's version of the Max-6.

   Later,
