Contacted Castle Creations via email about my situation and they said to send back the reciever and crystal to check it out. It is in the mail, will let you all know what I find out.

Hello all,

Got a new(?) reciever and crystal back from castle creation a few weeks ago, no charge. NO PROBLEMS FOUND!! Maybee I have a bad battery or switch. Can't get myself to go in the basement to rebuild the Sureshark, to nice out.

Any thoughts?

All single conversion xtals are not created equal.
Some have thinner pins than others.
Always secure xtal in rx sockets.
I simply use scotch tape.

Hello Bob,

Yes, they sent my reciever back and it works fine. I must tape, glue, silicone, shrink wrap etc... the crystal into the reciever into the reciever. Tough lesson, had a perfect flying Sure Shark that is now rebuilt (arrghh!). Oh well that is the sport. I will say that it was a great flyng 1/2a plane. It will be again but been very busy.

Thanks,

PAt
