Here are plans for a Shrike 40. The CG here should put you in the ballpark for the 1/2A Shrike.

It measures 3/4" behind the spar on the plans. Balance without fuel and move it slightly forward depending on your flying style. That's what the book says, not me. It shows it on the top view, and not the side view, odd in my opinion. But I measured from the back of the spar on the plans.
