Sterling Tri-Pacer on floats?
 

Looking through my kit pile for a suitable small float plane for an .09 size model I found a Sterling Piper Tri-Pacer, Kit #FS37. This on e has a 44" span. The chord is about 7.5" so wing area should be about 320 sq. in.

I didn't recall ever seeing a Tri-pacer on floats so I did a search...sure 'nuff....they had them.

At one time I had a larger 58" version and it was very heavy. Has anyone built this smaller version, does it build light and how does it fly? What engine, radio....whatever.

Hi, do you still have the plans for the Tri-Pacer. Im looking for a copy of it. I got a kit without plans. Please help.

The little one is a better plane than the big one in all respects. Lighter(but not light!), much more scale, much more modern(but still not that modern!)...a 10 is good, a 15 off the water would probably be better. Good model.
