Pattern Bat

Has anyone built or flown a Pattern Bat. Its supposed to use a .10 size engine and was kitted by Direct Connection. I can't find any info on the net, so I thought I would try here.

Thanks,
Jason

I built one for my son about 15 years ago. but I don't remember mush about it. Gave it to a friend of mine and he wants to know where to put the cg. If you find out please let me know.

Flying wings need the CG around 20% of chord. IIRC, the patternbat has a rectangular wing, so finding the 20% line should be easy.

RE: Pattern Bat

I have not built one, but did see several fly about 10 yrs ago while I lived in Ohio. Geoff Combs was the designer and would fly them after pattern contests for the combat event.

It was a flying wing with a coventional tail on it to make it easier to setup and control.

Wish I had the plans...

Brian
