Wonder why the name of this forum omits "1/4 A"? Surely there's a ton of Cox .020s out there...

It doesnt "exclude" ANY small planes or engines! I guess Marc had to name the forum, and if he had to include 1/8A, 1/4A, 1/2A, small flyers, etc, etc it would have gotten too long.

We all know here that the discussion is about "smaller" planes, engines and the like whether its a 15 powered lazy bee or a micro cox.010 powered plane and/or everything in between!

Just enjoy the forum, its one of the "nicest" places here on RCU in my opinion, no arguements (even between the cox vs norvel guys;) ) and just FUN FUN FUN and informative discussions.

My question was kind of a joke - guess I shoulda' used a smiley. Long live Cox! Long live Norvel!

No problem Tom, I just thought I'd answer the question :p

Heck, 15 is giant scale to some, but I actively fly everything powered by a cox 020 on the low end (my own scratch built 1/2 size telemaster 40) to 105cc (6.4 cubic inches) gasoline power, also a plane of my own design called the AC-2, a mid wing aerobatic type.

Just thought, to get the same power frim cox 020's I'd need 320 of them!! Just try and get all them 02's started and tuned :stupid: What a thought!! It'd probably be harder to get 320 cox 4-2 props though.... ;)

COOL...The Telemaster 40 was my first "big" plane after the COX powered gliders :D Still have it in bones with my worn out O.S
FP .40....Just remembered...I paid $90.00 for each!
Pretty hard for a 15 year old making $4.25
I never thought about making it 1/2a sized tho :o

Me and my mentor (many moons ago!) scaled down the telemaster 40 and made three for cox 020 engines, we flew them free flight!

I RC'd one a few years ago. Nice stable and lightweight. Easy to, all sheet construction.
