1/2a War Bird Fun Fighters

Whilst having a good clear out of plans on my computer i came accross a few ww2 classics that i thought would be great fun if you put a small norvel in and converted it to rc. I also thought it would be good for 1/2a combat too. So far i have found the hurricane and japanese zero. the hurricanes wingspan is around 29-30 inch the zero hasnt been printed off but is the same exact style of build and needs to be enlarged about 2 and a half inch. I have decided im going to build the hurricane and if anyone wants to join in on the build i can email them to you. The plans are as pdf images and has been cut so when you print them off on your printer it will print the plan over 4 pieces of a4 paper.
it builds just like the old keil kraft and guillows and so on but could provide hours of fun

pm me if you want a set emailing

You being the brit, I'll build the zero, is it going to be for awe at the field or for flames and crashing.

RE: 1/2a War Bird Fun Fighters

I'd say a good old surestart .049, 2 channel only and beef up the spars and fuse longerons with spruce or basswood.

LOL, I'm just glad you were wearing pants. I got tired of getting glue stuck to my belly hairs so I always wear a shirt these days.;)

Why can't my girl do that, if I left it up to her we'd eat kraft dinner every night, then I'd disappear just like dave bronk too. (see LST fourm,at the end). Nope, I'm just stuck making dinner everynight, that's if I want something edible, so I rest my case on the food thing. The gut, well, my brother has one of those, he blames it on his job, but we really know it's the 30 rack of bush light sitting in his fridge all the time. I remember 1 time we were on the boat and I said" holy sh&^!, what's that!" he asked "what?!", I pointed to his man FUPA!, yeah, he was a little pissed. But he'll get over it, someday?!:)

D Bronk, now that's a name I haven't seen in a while. His nephey Riley had some great posts. The vids of him getting the engine running great and slamming the plane he worked on for a month were priceless. I wonder if he ever did anything with the casting process he was working on?

The one shown is an Earl Stahl plan. Got it myself. Good looking plan. Can't wait to see this one built.
