Help ID an engine
1 Attachment(s)
I recently aquired several control line engines from an estate. (OS PET McCoy Veco Cox Stallion)
I have one that I need help in identifying. This engine looks like a Cox to me maybe .051? It turns over freely and has good compression, looks like it would run. . |

yep, that's what it is. i think the needle valve assy. is in upside down, not that it makes a difference, but puts fingers closer to the prop!

It sure looks like a TD .051. Alot of times the piston and cylinder have been moved to another engine. To tell a .051 from a .049 look for the small grove around the bottom of the piston. It's the I.D. ring.

Thanks for the info guys, it has the groove at the bottom of the piston, so it is an .051?
I will be listing these engines for sale on Ebay soon. |

Yes, the red body and groove on the piston mean it's a .051.
