I need a set of plans for a Thermic 50 R/C

Hi, I was serching through some of my old rc stuff and found an old Jetco Thermic 50 kit. The kit is close to 30 + years old and it was all taped up so I thought it was new but when I opened it, Everything was in there except for the plans. I was wondering if anyone out there had a set of plans for the RC Thermic 50 kit by Jetco on like a pdf or scan or maybe downlaoadable on the internet some where.

This plane was the one with a 47" wingspan and has a little pod and boom and is supposed to be powered with a cox .010

Thanks,
David G.

David,

You can get them from the AMA for about 12 dollars, less for members. Just make sure you have a Jetco Thermic 50 RC , not a little different one. I flew a non RC Glider one once, it went to that big thermal in the sky literally and figuratively. An RC one should be real good.

Take care,

Greg

I was kind of hoping someone might have the plans on a file that they can send to me or maybe on the internet somewhere that I can download. This is just one of those kits that I would like to build because I already have it, I dont know yet If I am willing to pay 12 dollars for the plans just so I can build it. I think I only payed $4 dollars for the entire kit when I first got it. Ill see how things go though, I might end up having to buy a set of plans for someday.

Is it the one with the built up fuselage or the pod and boom style? Also is the wing the one with spars or just the wider leading and trailing edges that act as the spars? If it's "yes" to both of these questions I've got a set you can have. But it's just for the glider. You'd need to fudge on the power pod using the pictures on the box or from the web as a guide.

from looking at the box, it apears to be the one that has a built up fuselage and wing with lots of ribs in it. It shows on the box a little power pod sticking up on top of the wing with a cox .010 on it and says its for R/C.

It appears to be a kit for the one that looks like this:
