Default Real engine weights

Hi Ron, Ken and gjestico,

It would be nice to have a DB here and be able to enter weights that can easily be compared, but I don't think it is practical with the RCU interface. A thread interface is just not what is needed. A searchable database is needed, such as Cliff is creating on RCFaq. I would be glad to dig up and re-post the numbers I have that I have entered in RCFaq's DB, but I think the effort should be put into the RCFaq DB. If that DB is put online then there's nothing to stop Marc from starting a forum(like the shipping one) that has a link to the RCFaq DB. In fact it would be nice to have a link to the RPM database on RCFaq too.

I open to whatever everyone wants to do, but I'd sure like to get this going and have the numbers available.

On RCFaq the DB contains the following fields:

Name:
Location: (City & State or country)
Engine Mfr: (i.e. OS, Thunder Tiger, Super Tigre, BME, 3W, etc.)
Engine Model: (i.e. .46FX, .46 Pro, 2300, 102, 80, etc.)
Engine Weight: (in ounces, BARE engine)
Displacement: (in CC's.)
Muffler brand: (i.e. Slimline, OS, or just STOCK, etc.)
Muffler weight: (in ounces)
Mount Brand & size:
Mount weight:
Ignition weight: (WithOUT battery)
Total weight: Total weight, ready to fly, minus battery, prop & prop nut
Additional Info: Did you include the prop nut, glow plug or spark plug?
Confidence: (1=bathroom scale, I think that's what it said...5=I used a calibrated lab scale, and wrote it down immediately.)
