Default RE: Great Planes Yak-55M Sport/3D ARF 50-55cc,88

This is a great looking plane. I'm considering getting one. When I compare the price to some of the other quality products out there it looks like a bargain. The EF Yak is $650 + $150 or so for freight. The SBach I just got was 679 + 65 in shipping. This one would net out at $540 (with discounts) and would ship free. A bargain for a top of the line 50CC plane.

Looking at their ads and referencing the monokote part numbers I'll bet this plane is covered with the best monokote. I know my 50CC Reactor was. I believe all of the "performance series" planes are covered with the good stuff.

This new line of Performance Series planes from Great Planes is top of the line stuff. This plane looks to have it all. A great size (88") and a huge wing area (1479") That is at the top of the list in both areas. And the weight at 18-19 lbs is good for this size of plane. My EF Yak weighs over 18lbs for comparison. My Sbach was 16lbs but isn't nearly as big.

I think this is a great looking product. I'm certainly going to consider it.

Thanks
Barry
